We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a special morning session at this year’s World One Health Congress in Cape Town. The key to successful One Health implementation lies in effective and equitable collaboration, communication, and sharing. We warmly invite everyone attending the congress to join us for an engaging and insightful discussion on β€œIntegrating Diversity and Equity in One Health – hosted by Women for One Health” and discover how these principles are essential to achieving our goals.

Panel Aims:

  • Discuss current evidence on the integral role of diversity and equity principles in the successful implementation of a One Health approach.
  • Showcase new research and activities that support greater consideration of diversity and equity in One Health initiatives.

Committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in One Health can drive a shift towards prevention by engaging a range of disciplines and diverse actors, including under-served groups (such as Indigenous peoples, farmers, individuals from low- and middle-income countries and especially women across these groups). Our panel will highlight their crucial contributions and how their involvement enhances One Health strategies and ultimately fosters prevention and Global Health security for all.

We are eager to meet many of you at the congress, share our insights, and engage in meaningful discussions on these vital topics. This session is a fantastic opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to the future of One Health.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation! We look forward to your participation and to a stimulating discussion on how we can advance diversity and equity within the One Health framework.
